Windows Update changes

Up until recently, GCT have been using ConnectWise RMM to manage the Windows security and Feature updates.

Going forward, we will be using Microsoft Intune to do the same job instead. This works directly with the native Windows update processes.

Please look for the Windows update icon on the task bar. When it appears, it means a Windows update is requesting a restart to complete the install. Without this restart, your computer will not be full patched.

We would ask that you click on the icon and restart your computer at the earliest convenient opportunity. The Restart or Shutdown buttons will indicate the amount of time it will take to complete.

Computers that are not restarted will perform an automatic restart after roughly 2 days.
